Job summary

CTDI is seeking a CDL A Driver for OTR - Regional duties in the United States. The role involves operating Class A vehicles, ensuring cargo safety and regulatory compliance, and delivering to major telecom and cable providers.

A 3rd shift schedule is described, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, cargo handling, documentation, and maintaining safety and quality standards while delivering reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain the qualification file.
• 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliability, adaptability, and dependability are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Completes vehicle inspection sheets, logs, bills of lading, and trip records.
• Ensures cargo is loaded, checked, and secured for transit.
• Assists with loading/unloading cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Obtains signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors truck maintenance and repairs.
• Provides professional customer service and represents CTDI positively.
• Follows all DOT and warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will provide services to the world’s largest telecommunications and cable providers. A CDL Class A Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license.

3rd shift: 8:30PM - 8:30AM Sunday - Thursday

Duties and Responsibilities

Class A Truck Driver

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
