Job summary

CTDI is seeking a CDL Class A truck driver based in Grove City, Ohio. You will operate commercial vehicles, inspect and secure cargo, and maintain driver qualification documents while delivering reliable service to our customers.

We expect 2+ years of delivery driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to follow DOT regulations. Benefits include weekly pay, performance bonuses, and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and endorsements.
• Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a valid US DOT driver qualification file.
• Minimum 2+ years of recent commercial delivery driving experience.
• Valid state-issued license with a clean driving record.
• Shows reliability, adaptability and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck pre- and post-trip and complete inspection sheets.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assist with loading/unloading and secure transit.
• Obtain signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitor maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide professional customer service and represent the company well.
• Follow all DOT regulations and warehouse safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.

• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
  • Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
