Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our logistics team. You will inspect vehicles, load and secure cargo, complete logs, and communicate professionally with customers.

Shift is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overnight trips. We offer weekly pay, a monthly incentive bonus, broad benefits, and a family-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• Requires Class A CDL with endorsements as required.
• Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain the driver qualification file.
• Minimum 2+ years of recent commercial delivery driving experience.
• Valid license with a clean driving record.
• Strong reliability and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks before and after trips.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel logs, daily logs, bills of lading, trip records and expense reports.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, checked and secured during transit.
• Assist with loading/unloading cargo as needed to ensure secure transit.
• Acquire signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitor maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service through professional communication.
• Follow all Federal and State DOT regulations and warehouse safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift

8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday-Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
