Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Class A CDL driver for its US operations. The role involves inspecting trucks, completing logs and paperwork, ensuring cargo is loaded and secured, and representing CTDI with professional customer service.

The position requires 2+ years of delivery driving, a clean driving record, ability to travel overnight 1-2 nights per week, and flexibility to work rotational shifts. CTDI offers weekly pay, benefits, and a family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) with endorsements.
• Must obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
• 2+ years of recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, logs, bills of lading, and trip records.
• Ensure cargo is loaded, checked, and secured during transit.
• Assist with loading/unloading of cargo; oversee as needed.
• Obtain signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitor maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide professional customer service representing CTDI.
• Comply with Federal and State DOT regulations and warehouse safety rules.

Responsible for operating commercial vehicles with a Class A driver's license.

1st Shift:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
• Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
• Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
• Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
• Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 85 lbs., if necessary.
• Flexible shifts with the capability to undertake overnight trips 1-2 nights per week.
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
