Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a skilled truck fleet mechanic in Virginia to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefer units. You will document work orders, ensure roadworthiness, and perform road calls as required.

The role offers a 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule Sunday through Thursday, with comprehensive benefits starting Day 1 and additional allowances for safety gear and tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Minimum 2 years in A/C refrigeration and related diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and other critical systems.
• Document work orders and parts used; perform road calls as needed.
• Train other employees on maintenance procedures.
