Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Delivery Driver for our Wausau, WI location. You will deliver products and equipment to customers, pick up returns, and ensure accurate paperwork while following SOPs and safety regulations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years CDL experience, and Hazmat/Tanker/Airbrakes endorsements. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), holidays and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe, courteous manner.
• Pickup returns at customer locations.

• Move, load, and unload cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Prepare and complete paperwork accurately (shipping papers, delivery tickets).
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Class A CDL with Hazmat,Tanker & Airbrakes Endorsements Required *****

Duties:

• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment to customers in a safe and courteous manner.
• Pick up returns at customer place of business.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Comply with all DOT + OSHA Regulations.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent Class A CDL Required with Hazmat,Tanker & Airbrakes Endorsement Clean commercial driving record
• 3+ years
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
