Job summary

Blue Ridge Haulers is seeking a Class A CDL Trainee for a paid mentorship program in Illinois. Trainees will gain hands-on experience on dry van freight running east and southeast, with day and night shifts and weekend work as part of the schedule.

Training lasts about 3–5 weeks with 200–250 hours behind the wheel. Trainee pay is $850 weekly, and orientation may include up to two days with a $300 hire payment. After training, positions offer higher earnings with potential benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 120 hours from an accredited truck driving school.
• Trainees with less than 6 months recent CDL-A experience welcome.
• Solid employment history without major unemployment gaps.
• Acceptable MVR and driving record.
• Pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug test.
• Meet applicable driver qualification and hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

CDL-A trainees in the Illinois hiring area can enter through paid mentorship and build experience on dry van freight running east and southeast.

AFTER TRAINING

• $1,000-$1,700 average weekly earnings
• No NYC routes and no Western states
• $15 for qualifying intermediate stops

PAID MENTORSHIP

Training lasts approximately 3-5 weeks with 200-250 behind-the-wheel hours. Trainee pay is $850 per week. Paid orientation is no more than two days, with $300 paid upon hire.

DRY VAN OPERATION

Expect a mix of drop-and-hook, live load, live unload and preloaded freight. Both day and night driving may be required. Weekend work is part of the operating schedule.
