About Climate Express

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. We employ 200 company drivers who help keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team, strong and committed to getting things done.

Equipment

Our trucks are 2022 or newer Volvo 760 models, automatic transmission. They are equipped with ergonomic seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletops, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with a 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales on trucks and trailers, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. We have an on-site repair facility and a wash bay for truck and trailer washes.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55 to .58 CPM, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pay for detention, layovers, and other factors is determined by load and driver hours. Expect weekly averages of $2,600 to $3,200, paid via direct deposit with no hold. Work this week, get paid next.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operational area. Some drivers may have longer runs and up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon in writing before hiring and will be honored. Drivers should notify dispatch of their home time needs. We accommodate special events and appointments whenever possible.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over half being drop-and-hook. The rest involves 1 pick-1 drop loads. We operate dry vans and reefers (climate-controlled loads, no slaughterhouses or fresh meat). Routes are mainly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, and borders. Most freight is contracted, with a mix of dry van and reefer loads. We do not have dedicated routes and use Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Rider & Canine Policies

Riders: One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1.

Canine: $500 fee per pet, with up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog. Deduction of $100/week until paid, non-refundable once placed. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
