Class A CDL OTR High Mile Drivers

Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! We employ 200 Company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet consists of safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities. We offer high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a team. We are strong. Together we can get things done.

Equipment

- 2022 or newer Volvo 760, automatic trucks. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering position, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverter, dual antennas, flat screen TV mount, satellite radios. Trucks and trailers are equipped with right way scales and Elite Pass for scales, tolls, and bridges. On-site repair facility and wash bay available.

Pay

- Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other load-specific compensations. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit. No holdbacks.

Home Time

- Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our operating area. Some drivers may stay out longer for additional drive-through days and may be compensated with up to 4 days off. Home time is agreed upon in writing prior to hiring and honored accordingly. Drivers can request home time needs from dispatch. We aim to accommodate special events and appointments.

Loads & Routes

- 98% of freight originates in Missouri. Over 55% is drop and hook; the rest is 1 pick-1 drop. We operate dry van (palletized) and reefer trailers (climate-controlled, no slaughterhouses or fresh meat). Most routes are in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, and borders. Freight is mainly on major highways, with mostly contracted loads. No dedicated routes. Fueling at Pilot/Flying J locations.

Rider Policy

- One passenger aged 12 or older, available from day 1.

Canine Policy

- $500 fee per pet, allowing 2 small or 1 large dog. Deduct $100 weekly until paid. Policy non-refundable once the pet is on board. Change of canine allowed; no policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.
