Climate Express has been moving full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years! We employ 200 company drivers who keep families across America supplied with essential household goods. Our fleet features safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern amenities, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 automatic trucks, recognized as some of the safest on the road. Features include ergonomically designed seats, perfect steering, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletops, larger refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverters, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales, Elite Pass for scales, tolls, bridges, onsite maintenance, and wash bays.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from .55cpm to .58cpm, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional compensation for detention, layovers, and other load-specific factors. Average weekly pay is between $2,600 and $3,200, paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our running area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, with home time agreed upon prior to hiring in writing. We accommodate special events and appointments when possible.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. The fleet handles dry van and reefer trailers, mostly in the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver. Freight is primarily contracted, with no dedicated routes, utilizing major highways and Pilot/Flying J fueling points.

Benefits

Company contributions for medical and dental insurance, free vision and life insurance, paid vacations, and a 401K plan with employer matching.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is permitted from day one. Pets are allowed with a $500 fee for up to 2 small dogs or 1 large dog, with weekly deductions of $100 until paid off. No policy for cats, reptiles, or birds.

Requirements

At least 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience, no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. Veterans and women are encouraged to apply; we are a second-chance employer.
