About Climate Express

Climate Express has been transporting full truckloads of freight across the United States for 29 years. Our team of 200 company drivers keeps families supplied with essential household goods. We operate safe Volvo tractors equipped with modern features, offering high miles, consistent paychecks, and solid home time. We are a strong team committed to getting things done.

Equipment

2022 or newer Volvo 760 automatic trucks, considered the safest on the road, equipped with ergonomic seats, 70" L / 96" W sleepers, pull-out tabletop, large built-in refrigerators, auxiliary power units with 3500W inverters, dual antennas, flat-screen TV mounts, satellite radios, right-way scales, and an on-site repair facility.

Pay

Starting pay ranges from $0.55 to $0.58 per mile, paid on practical miles whether loaded or empty. Additional pays include detention, layover, and other load-specific compensations. Average weekly earnings range from $2,600 to $3,200. Paid weekly via direct deposit with no hold.

Home Time

Drivers typically get 2 full days off after working 12-14 days within our running area. Some drivers may stay out longer and receive up to 4 days off, depending on the area. Home time arrangements are confirmed in writing prior to hiring and are honored. Drivers can request home time needs through dispatch.

Loads & Routes

Most freight (98%) originates in Missouri, with over 55% being drop-and-hook. Other freight involves 1 pick-1 drop loads, dry vans, and reefers (climate-controlled, no slaughterhouses or fresh meat). Routes mainly cover the US middle corridor, avoiding NYC, ports, borders, and west of Denver, CO. Freight is mostly contracted, with a mix of dry van and reefer loads. No dedicated routes, with fueling at Pilot/Flying J stations.

Rider & Canine Policies

One passenger aged 12 or older is permitted from day one. Pets are allowed with a $500 fee per pet; two small or one large dog, with a weekly deduction of $100 until paid off. Pets are non-refundable once placed. No policies for cats, reptiles, or birds.
