Job summary

TA Services is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers with at least 2 years of CDL driving experience for a local, first-shift role in Columbus, IN.

You’ll perform local deliveries to manufacturing plants and distribution centers, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure DOT compliance while working in a fast-paced environment. Competitive pay at $31 per hour plus benefits. Accrue PTO and vacation, plus other benefits after the first year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and/or raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail/distribution centers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, along with light preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and internal company policies.
• Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Fast-paced, local deliveries and loading dock environments.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Physical work, including occasional lifting, climbing, and extended sitting while driving.

Job Description

Qualifications

Education

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving
• Previous experience in commercial driving or similar transportation roles preferred

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 23 years old
• No DWI/DUI on MVR in the past 3 years
• No more than one at-fault accident on MVR within the past 3 years
• Must pass pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen

Additional Information

• $31/hr
• Accrue up to five days PTO in first year
• Two weeks vacation plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary
