Job summary

TA Services is seeking full-time CDL drivers to join our Laredo, TX team. You will transport materials, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role offers multiple pay options (per mile and hourly), with opportunities for regional, local, and OTR work, and a benefits package including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required and DOT regulations knowledge expected.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are required.
• Two years of Class A driving experience preferred.
• No DUI/DWI in past three years and clean driving record per DOT rules.

Responsibilities

Days and Shift Information

Full-time position

Must maintain reliable attendance and arrive on time for all scheduled shifts

Pay

• OTR CDL DRIVER
• PAY .54 CPM - IF DRIVER GOES OVER 3500 MILES IN HIS WORK WEEK PAY GOES UP TO .56 CPM
• REGIONAL CDL DRIVER
• PAY .52 CPM
• LOCAL DAY CAB DRIVER
• PAY $17 / HOURLY
• LOCAL BOX TRUCK DRIVER
• PAY $15/ HOURLY

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete light preventative maintenance as needed.
• Secure loads, including tarping when required by customer specifications or load requirements.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, commercial motor vehicle laws, and company safety policies.
• Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading and unloading positions, complete drop-and-hook deliveries, and report any vehicle defects, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.

Work Environment

• Frequent driving and extended periods of sitting.
• Regular loading and unloading at customer and company locations.
• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Requires operation of commercial tractor-trailers and interaction with customers, dispatch, and warehouse personnel.
• Position requires adherence to strict safety standards and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.

Experience

• Minimum two years of Class A commercial driving experience.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Experience with drop-and-hook deliveries preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and safe cargo securement practices.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Successfully pass a DOT-required pre-employment physical and drug screening in accordance with 49 CFR Parts 391 and 40.
• No DUI or DWI convictions within the past three years.
• No more than one at-fault accident within the past three years.
