Job summary

C.R. England is seeking a dedicated Class A CDL Instructor to join our Valparaiso training facility. The role offers daytime hours, no weekends, and a stable leadership path for experienced drivers transitioning into mentoring and teaching.

In this position you will conduct classroom and range instruction, lead backing drills, and assess road tests to train the next generation of professional drivers the C.R. England Way. Emphasis on safety and student development is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to meet the criteria of a CDL Third-Party Examiner.
• Strong interpersonal and safety-focused communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Driver Training: Teach backing skills, safety protocols, and driving maneuvers.
• Evaluations: Conduct driving evaluations and prepare students for CDL exams.
• Mentorship: Coach trainees on lifestyle adjustments and industry standards.
• Safety and Standards: Maintain safety compliance for school and company.
