Job summary

Clean Harbors in Rockford, IL is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. The role involves driving and non-driving tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up on and off client sites.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with starts between 6–7 am and overtime after 40 hours. Training at the two-week academy out of state is paid by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Complete a background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
• Compliance with respirator facial hair standards as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Drive a variety of Class A trucks, including vacuum trucks and roll offs.
• Load and unload cargo; perform manual labor on site as needed.
• Maintain logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Ensure DOT and company safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Be available for on-call and emergency response work as required.
