Job summary

Clean Harbors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a range of trucks at customer sites and during hazardous waste clean-up activities. The role includes on-site and off-site duties, with overnight travel on occasion and a two-week paid Academy training.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL must be held at start of employment.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices for job tasks.
• Must be able to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Candidate must successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical as applicable.
• Respiratory protection standards may apply per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Class A trucks at customer sites and on-site as needed.
• Load and unload trucks and perform manual labor on site.
• Maintain daily logs and time sheets; complete required reports.
• Ensure placarding and compliance with DOT and company regulations.
• Be available for emergency response on rotating schedule and occasional project work.
• Travel up to 50% overnight as required by assignments.
