Job Summary:

The Driver Technician is responsible for the safe operation of a DOT-regulated vehicle to transport materials and equipment between job sites. In addition to driving duties, this role includes performing field service activities at customer locations in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. These activities may include system troubleshooting and hands-on work involving mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems, depending on the needs of the assigned customer or business unit.

This role requires direct interaction with customers and may involve working across multiple sites and technologies. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate DOT-regulated vehicles in compliance with all safety and transportation regulations.

Perform on-site service and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems.

Identify and resolve safety issues related to both company- and customer-owned equipment.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Ensure proper care, use, and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.

Exhibit a strong safety mindset and high-impact work culture focused on innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

Work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Class A CDL with applicable endorsements.

Must be able to obtain a valid DOT medical card.

Ability to obtain a valid passport and cross international borders as needed.

Experience:

0–2 years of technical field experience; 1+ year preferred.

Ability to obtain necessary customer site clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).

Experience with diesel, electrical, mechanical, or fusion systems preferred.

Driving Requirements:

Completion of the Driver Application for Employment.

Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Required Documentation:

Driver Disclosure and Release

Drug and Alcohol Statement

FMCSA Certificate of Awareness

Driver Certificate of Violations

On-Duty Hours Statement

Road Test

Copy of Driver’s License

Copy of Medical Certificate
