This position reports to:

Regional Service Manager - Western US

In this role, you will be responsible for Demand Field Service in Process Automation Energy Industries Service.

DCS Associate Field Service Technicians perform service in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will work closely with customers and other ABB teams, supporting technical issues while delivering quality service.

As a DCS Associate Field Service Technician in Phoenix, AZ, you will work independently and as part of a team based on customer and contract requirements.

The work model for this role is: Remote

This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Supporting site service to ensure safe and efficient plant operation utilizing the ABB S-Plus Distributed Control System.
2. Performing all periodic, routine, preventive maintenance, and shutdown support (ABB Senior Technical and Advanced Services will provide lead support until your training is complete).
3. Troubleshooting low to medium complexity tasks related to distributed control system hardware, software issues, and managing technical support requests to optimize system performance.
4. Suggesting ABB solutions to enhance system performance and expand the scope of value-added services to existing contracts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education, military experience, and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB 800xA Distributed Control System is a plus. Formal training, on-the-job training, and mentorship will be provided.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, willing to maintain overnight travel of up to 80%.
• Experience in process automation, understanding of systems maintenance, configuration, and process control is ideal.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence, effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, technical orientation, customer focus, and professionalism.
• Fluent in English, with a valid driver's license and work authorization for the US.
