Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Recovery Technician to safely load, secure, and transport cargo, performing inspections and maintaining logs. You will ensure regulatory compliance and timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

Requires a High School diploma, Class A license with X endorsement, and strong communication and organizational skills. Occasional weekends and outdoor work are possible; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, and transport cargo in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain required documentation (logbooks, manifests, bills of lading).
• Follow transportation-related laws and safety guidelines.
• Maneuver vehicles for loading/unloading; position equipment correctly.
• Report defects, incidents, and delivery issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Deliver products on time and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Provide training and perform additional duties as assigned.
