Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, actively seeking drivers to handle touch‑freight tasks, load verification, and site safety. This role requires CDL‑A, physical ability for heavy loads, and the capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

You will coordinate with dispatch, follow safety procedures, and contribute to timely, accurate deliveries across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch‑freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre‑inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
