Job summary

Southway Crane & Rigging, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time CDL Truck Driver in Atlanta, GA. You will load and unload cargo, drive long distances, take orders for deliveries, and coordinate with the dispatcher to ensure on-time shipments.

Qualified candidates must hold a state-issued Class A CDL (No Automatic Endorsement) and have at least 3 years of commercial driving experience. A background check and drug test are required, plus an on-site skills verification before hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• On-site skills verification test before hire.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Refuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after trips and record defects.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and in good order.
