Job summary

Southway Crane & Rigging, Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our Savannah branch. The role requires a current Class A CDL and a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

On-site responsibilities include loading/unloading, cargo tracking, and long-distance deliveries with strict adherence to safety and regulatory procedures. The position offers overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License (No Automatic Endorsement).
• 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to interpret, read manuals, and write reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record defects.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and in good working order.
