Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in the New Jersey area to operate a Class A vehicle in compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations. You will safely deliver goods, perform inspections, maintain delivery records, and communicate with dispatch and customers.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and excellent customer service at delivery points, with compliance to GEODIS policies and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Must have a valid operator’s license for the type of vehicle.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.
