Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Class A CDL driver in Woodbridge Township, NJ. The role involves operating a Class A CMV in accordance with FMCSA/DOT regulations, safely loading and delivering goods, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

You will maintain delivery records and communicate with dispatchers and customers. Candidates must have at least 2 years of CDL experience, knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules, be 21+, and pass a road test.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid CDL and be able to pass a road test.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV and must meet physical qualification standards per 49 CFR Part 391.41.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections, hours of service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.
