Clean Harbors in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Class A CDL / Equipment Operator to drive a range of trucks and equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks and roll-offs. The role involves on-site and off-site duties in hazardous waste clean-up, with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements preferred and academy training provided.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with early start; overtime after 40 hours. Travel, on-call duties, and potential overnight stays are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred or eligible.
• Ability to operate mobile devices on-site and in the field.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor and lifting requirements.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and medical exam as required by the position.
• Respiratory protection standards compliance per OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Load and unload trucks and perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and site reports.
• Follow DOT, state and federal safety regulations and company procedures.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Occasional overnight travel and travel to training as required by startup needs.
