Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Driver to transport and deliver materials to customers, distribution centers, and job sites. This role requires a Class A CDL, prior tractor-trailer experience, and a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The position involves loading/unloading, pre/post-trip inspections, and adhering to DOT regulations. It offers a day shift, Monday through Friday, with competitive hourly pay and full-time benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• 2 years of previous tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable).
• Must be able to drive interstate as business necessitates.
• Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Must be insurable according to company insurance requirements.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to customers, distribution centers and job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform material handling such as loading/unloading by hand, forklift or overhead crane.
• Reconcile shipping with customer signatures to verify receipt.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and address safety deficiencies.
• Operate onboard recording system and comply with DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service at all times.
• Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
