Job summary

Defiance Energy Services, LLC in Louisiana is seeking an experienced CDL driver to transport materials to and from designated destinations, with nighttime or weekend shifts as needed.

You will maneuver trucks, inspect vehicles, comply with DOT requirements, and follow company policies. Benefits include health, dental, vision, IRA, paid vacation and holidays.

Candidates should hold a valid CDL, tanker endorsement preferred, DOT medical card, and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Tanker endorsement required; HazMat preferred.
• Current DOT medical card and state registration.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration.
• Experience as a truck driver preferred.
• Ability to work night or weekend shifts as necessary.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Background/drug checks may be required.
• Energy industry experience is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CDL driver to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs of the location.

Minimum pay of $21/hour. Overtime paid at time and a half.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Compliance with all D.O.T. requirements.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Requirements

• Tanker endorsement required; HazMat preferred
• Valid Class A CDL license
• Current DOT medical card/registered with state
• Registered with FMCSA drug and alcohol clearinghouse (https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/ )
• Proven work experience as a truck driver preferred
• Ability to work night or weekend shifts as necessary
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Experience in energy industry is a plus
