Job summary

Builders FirstSource is hiring a delivery driver responsible for transporting and delivering building materials to customer sites. The role involves loading, securing goods, and unloading with customer assistance while adhering to safety rules and DVIR/HOS requirements.

You will verify orders, maintain logs, and act as a customer service liaison to resolve issues. A Class A CDL and MVR clearance are required, with a preference for CDL experience and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license and a class A CDL license.
• A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience. 2 years of CDL driving experience are strongly preferred.
• Pass MVR report.
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five days of a request.
• Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math & measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing product inside the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver orders to specified sites and assist customers with unloading and accuracy.
• Verify order details, logs, and weights; check items against invoice.
• Serve as a customer service liaison and handle concerns as they arise.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety checks; use DVIR/HOS devices as required.
• Operate forklift or loading equipment as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
