Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to transport materials to customer sites, load and unload as needed, and provide professional service. You will maintain logs, perform safety checks, and ensure on-time deliveries while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasizes strong customer interaction, accurate order verification, and adherence to DVIR/HOS regulations. A valid Class A CDL and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license and a class A CDL license.
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driving experience; 2 years CDL driving experience preferred.
• Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years; basic math & measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing product inside the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to specified site; maneuver vehicle and assist unloading.
• Verify order details and maintain logs of duties, weights, miles and locations.
• Serve as a customer service liaison with the site customer; resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles and perform routine safety checks.
• Use handheld devices to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance; maintain DOT logs.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and hours of service documentation.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety meetings; assist in safety improvements.
