Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Amarillo, TX is seeking a full-time Driver to transport and deliver building materials to customers and job sites by tractor-trailer. The role requires safe driving, customer service, and the ability to handle heavy loads.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, manage loading/unloading, and maintain vehicle appearance while following DOT regulations. The position offers day shift, base pay starting at $23.75 per hour, and full-time benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class A CDL required.
• 2 years of tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience including winter driving.
• Valid Medical Card
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical
• Must be insurable according to company insurance requirements

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to customers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Load and unload material on a trailer by hand, forklift or overhead crane.
• Reconcile material requirements with shipping list and obtain customer signatures.
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections and address any deficiencies.
• Operate onboard recording system and follow DOT regulations and all traffic laws.
• Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service.
• Handle frequent standing, lifting and moving of heavy products (60+ pounds).
• Inspect and clean vehicle and assist in inventory management and housekeeping activities.
