Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a reliable Class A Operator to safely transport concrete blocks from plants to customers and SRM locations, with yard support when not delivering. You must hold a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card, have at least 2 years of Class A driving experience, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven Class A driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed with a Class A license, transporting blocks from the plant to customers and SRM Concrete locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide timely updates on route progress.
• Securely load and unload blocks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently to prevent spillage or damage.
• Adhere to established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and respect.
• Operate a loader to load blocks onto trucks and assist with yard operations as needed.
