Job summary

SRM Concrete seeks a Class A CDL Block Driver to safely transport concrete blocks from the plant to customers and SRM locations, and to support yard operations when not delivering. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, logbooks, and maintain clear communication with dispatch to follow routes and schedules.

Ideal candidates have a valid CDL, a clean DOT record, 2+ years of Class A experience, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and a team-oriented, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class A trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting and climbing.
• Excellent time management to meet delivery schedules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with plant personnel and customers.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
• Proactive, dependable, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A truck, transporting blocks from the plant to customers and SRM locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and DOT compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per policy.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and provide route updates.
• Load and unload blocks safely, prevent spillage or damage.
• Adhere to routes, schedules, and safety procedures.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Operate a loader to load blocks and assist with yard operations as needed.
