Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our Block team in a central role that ensures safe transport of concrete blocks to customers and plant locations. You will also support yard operations when not delivering, upholding safety and efficiency on every trip.

As a trusted SRM team member, you will complete logs, paperwork, and inspections, communicate with dispatch, and provide exemplary customer service at delivery sites while adhering to DOT regulations and company

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed with a Class A license, transporting blocks from the plant to customers and SRM locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and DOT compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and provide route progress updates.
• Load and unload blocks safely; prevent spillage or damage.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Operate a loader to load blocks and assist yard operations as needed.

About the Opportunity

Are you a skilled and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver looking for a dynamic role in the construction materials industry? SRM Concrete is seeking a reliable and motivated Class A Operator to join our Block team. In this pivotal position, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient transportation of concrete blocks to customers and plant locations, while also supporting operations in the yard when not making deliveries. Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed with a Class A license, transporting blocks from the plant to customers and various SRM Concrete locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork in line with company policies.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide timely updates on route progress.
• Securely load and unload blocks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently to prevent spillage or damage.
• Adhere to established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and respect.
• Operate a loader to load blocks onto trucks and assist with yard operations as needed.

What Sets You Apart
