Worcester County Food Bank Inc is looking for a responsible driver to manage food donation pickups and distribution operations. You will drive company vehicles safely, inspect equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records.
The ideal candidate must have a CDL Class A license, ability to lift heavy loads, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. This position requires working collaboratively with other departments and agencies to support the food bank's mission.
This role is not eligible for work from home options and requires working weekends as needed.
Must be 20 years of age or older, possess a valid New York State CDL Class A driver's license and have two years of truck driving experience. Must be able to pass pre‑employment and random drug tests, or meet an exception, as required under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety requirements. Must be able to regularly drive or operate a standard transmission vehicle. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred.
This position will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending, pulling, and reaching. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require the safe use of power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance. Regularly drives or operates a standard transmission vehicle.
Responsible for picking up donations from food donors, assisting with food collection, storage, and distribution operations of the Food Bank.
