Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an experienced delivery driver to transport materials to customer sites. The role requires operating heavy trucks (>26,000 lb) and assisting with loading, unloading, and securing goods, while maintaining accurate logs and ensuring safety.

Candidates should have a Class A CDL, 1+ year of delivery driving experience, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Strong customer service and compliance with DVIR/HOS are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Must pass MVR and obtain a DOT medical card within 5 days of request.
• Able to frequently lift up to 100 lb and occasionally up to 200 lb.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to specified sites and secure loads.
• Operate delivery vehicles weighing >26,000 lb and assist with loading/unloading.
• Maintain logs of deliveries, mileage, and item weights; verify against invoices.
• Serve as customer liaison and address concerns professionally.
• Perform routine safety checks and pre/post trip inspections.
• Use handheld devices for DVIR/HOS compliance; may operate forklift.
