Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a delivery driver to transport materials to customer sites in Michigan. You will operate heavy vehicles, load/unload, and ensure on-time deliveries while prioritizing safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid driver's license and a class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years CDL driving preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• Class A CDL license
• Pass MVR report
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
• Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
• Basic math & measurement skills
• Ability to read and speak the English language

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders to specified delivery site and maneuvers vehicles into loading/unloading positions.
• May load or assist with loading and securing product inside delivery vehicle.
• Verifies order details and maintains logs of delivery duties including weights, mileage and locations.
• Acts as a customer service liaison between the company and the site customer.
• Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and performs routine safety checks.
• Uses handheld devices to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintains hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operates a forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment as needed.
• Observes safety procedures and attends safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
