Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a delivery driver to transport and deliver materials to customer sites. You will operate vehicles over 26,000 pounds, assist with loading, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries. A Class A CDL, valid license, and MVR/DOT card are required.

The role emphasizes customer service, vehicle upkeep, and adherence to safety procedures. Experience with forklifts and handheld devices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and a class A CDL license required.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Pass MVR report and obtain DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in last 5 years.
• Basic math & measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to specified sites and maneuver vehicle into loading/unloading positions.
• Assist customers with unloading materials and ensure product safety.
• Verify order details and log delivery information (weights, mileage, locations).
• Serve as a customer service liaison and resolve issues as needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety checks per guidelines.
• Use handheld devices to comply with DVIR and HOS; maintain logs.
