Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to join our team in California. You will deliver customer orders to sites, assist with unloading, and ensure accuracy and safety at every step. You will maintain logs, comply with DVIR/HOS, and support customers with their material needs.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, 1 year of delivery experience, a clean MVR, and the ability to read and speak English. Benefits and career growth opportunities are available with BFS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license and Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year delivery driving experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Pass MVR report and obtain DOT medical card within 5 days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing products inside the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to specified sites and assist with unloading materials safely.
• Verify order details and maintain logs of deliveries (weights, mileage, locations).
• Serve as a customer service liaison and address customer concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles; perform safety checks and DVIR compliance.
• Operate or assist with forklift or other material handling equipment as needed.
• Follow hours-of-service rules and complete pre/post trip inspections.
• Handle credit/product return pickups and related paperwork if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
