Job summary

Rush-Enterprises in Houston, TX seeks a Body Shop Technician to restore Class 8 diesel equipment to pre‑accident condition following factory and dealership specs. You will repair or replace damaged body components, perform teardown, identify parts, and ensure quality checks before moving to paint.

You will work with frame and measuring equipment, adhere to I‑CAR standards, and mentor apprentices while delivering high quality workmanship in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years’ body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and notes before repairs begin.
• Perform teardown, repair, and reassembly per factory specs and company policy.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging; use frame and measuring equipment per vendor specs.
• Sign-off on all quality checks prior to sending equipment to paint.
• Mentor apprentices or lesser skilled technicians to develop repair skills.
