Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Body Shop Technician to restore Class 8 diesel equipment to pre-accident conditions in alignment with factory and dealership specs. You will review orders, perform teardown and repairs, and ensure quality checks before painting.

The role emphasizes using frame/measuring tools, following documentation, and mentoring apprentices while delivering high-quality workmanship and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of body shop experience.
• ICAR Welding Certificate.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, work orders, and estimators' notes to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work on any class 8 diesel equipment.
• Perform initial teardown of Class 8 diesel equipment and execute repairs per factory specifications.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor specifications.
• Perform and sign-off on all quality checks before sending equipment to paint department.
• Work with apprentices or lesser skilled technicians to develop repair skills.
