Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Austin, TX seeks an Engineer – Class 1 to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment. You will respond to guest room repair requests and assist with preventive maintenance across laundry and kitchen equipment.

The role requires hands-on skills with hand tools and power tools, strong English communication, and at least two years of hospitality maintenance experience. Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of hospitality maintenance experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills and English communication required.
• Able to move, lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, stand for long periods.
• Wamiliar with OSHA safety regulations and hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Responds and attends to guest room repair requests.
• Fixes plumbing problems (unclogging drains, repairing toilets, leaks).
• Performs preventive maintenance on laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Maintains daily shift logs of operation, maintenance, pool, spa, and safety activities.
• Maintains stock items and orders tools and equipment as needed.
• Supports team to reach common goals and assists in emergencies as a central communication point.
• Adheres to Emergency Response procedures and safety standards.
• Follows all company policies; maintains clean uniform and professional appearance.
• Understands shift schedules, reporting, and paid time-off procedures.
• Identifies ways to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Handles hazardous chemicals per procedures; participates in Omni/Power initiatives.
