Job summary

UF/IFAS - School of Natural Resources and Environment is seeking a Student Assistant to support daily administrative operations and provide excellent customer service to students and visitors.

The position is part-time (10 hours per week) with a pay rate of $15.00/hr. Candidates must be a current CLAS student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, possess strong written and spoken communication, and demonstrate good organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current CLAS student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Available to work 10 hours per week.
• Creative and interested in learning new skills.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Next term registration.
• Tracking requirements, college requirements and university requirements.
• Minors and dual degrees/double majors.
• Grad checks.
• Process forms such as minors and double majors.
• Assist with the general advising email inbox.
• Run basic advising workshops such as "How to read your audit" or "To drop or not".
