Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Clamp Truck Operator to handle and move products at the facility, performing essential tasks to maintain a steady supply of materials for converting and packaging operations.

The ideal candidate can safely operate clamp forklifts, read a tape measure, perform daily checks, and weigh and document scrap and finished goods. Overtime, weekend shifts, and multiple roles may be required; the company offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Able to work in non-temperature controlled environment.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Availability for daily overtime, weekends, and varied shifts.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial forklift and clamp forklift safely.
• Perform forklift checklists.
• Follow safety procedures and promote safety programs.
• Transfer completed product to storage areas.
• Supply Corrugator and Forming machine with materials.
• Inspect product and ensure quality packaging.
• Read load tags and document scrap and finished goods.
• Maintain housekeeping per plant guidelines.
• Load scrap into bays or trucks.
• Verify truck conditions before loading.
