Frankenmuth Insurance Company is seeking a Training Consultant in our Claims Department to design and deliver practical learning experiences that help the claims team grow and succeed. You’ll partner with claims leaders, subject matter experts, and employees to understand learning needs and create effective training solutions that support change with confidence.

This role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and broad scope from onboarding to process changes.

Qualifications

  • Six to ten years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in Property & Casualty insurance claims preferred.
  • Ability to explain technical, financial, regulatory, and legal information related to insurance claims.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, presentation, and professional responses.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends, solve problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Experience with claims management systems, especially Guidewire ClaimCenter.
  • CPTD certification preferred; AIC and CPCU designations highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Claims leaders to understand learning needs and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Design and deliver training programs, resources, learning experiences and onboarding for claims staff and leaders.
  • Use data, feedback, business results, and trends to recommend practical learning solutions.
  • Support claims initiatives such as process improvements, technology changes, regulatory updates, and customer service enhancements.
  • Coach employees, leaders, subject matter experts, and trainers to reinforce learning and behavior change.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and vendors to create or deliver training materials, tools, and programs.
  • Help support organizational development efforts such as change management, team effectiveness, strategic planning, and talent development within Claims.
  • Contribute to project teams focused on improving claims processes, systems, compliance, and employee performance.

Are you passionate about helping people learn, grow, and succeed? As a Training Consultant in our Claims Department, you’ll help build and deliver practical learning experiences that support our Claims team. You’ll partner with claims leaders, subject matter experts, and employees to understand learning needs, create effective training solutions, and help teams navigate change with confidence.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deliver engaging training programs, resources, learning experiences and new employee onboarding for claims employees and leaders.
  • Use data, feedback, business results, and trends to recommend practical learning solutions.
  • Support claims initiatives such as process improvements, technology changes, regulatory updates, and customer service enhancements.
  • Coach employees, leaders, subject matter experts, and functional trainers to reinforce learning and support behavior change.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and vendors to create or deliver training materials, tools, and programs.
  • Help support organizational development efforts such as change management, team effectiveness, strategic planning, and talent development within Claims.
  • Contribute to project teams focused on improving claims processes, systems, compliance, and employee performance.

What You’ll Bring
  • Six to ten years of related experience and/or training, a master’s degree or equivalent experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in Property & Casualty insurance claims is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical, financial, regulatory, and legal information related to insurance claims.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, present information effectively, and respond professionally to questions or concerns.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to review information, identify trends, solve problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Experience with claims management systems, especially GuideWire ClaimCenter, is strongly preferred.
  • CPTD certification is preferred; AIC and/or CPCU designations are highly desired.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role is generally performed in a professional office environment. Employees in this role regularly sit, use a computer, communicate with others, and may occasionally stand, walk, reach, or lift and move up to 10 pounds.
