Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Manager in California. The role focuses on supervising a dedicated WC team, managing a case load with high-quality, efficient service, and driving performance improvements across the claims function.

You will engage with clients, carriers, and brokers, apply Gallagher's technology to optimize workflows, and mentor staff to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience required.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and team functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small Workers Compensation team.
• Carry an individual case load delivering high quality service.
• Participate in adjuster hiring and ongoing training to improve performance.
• Manage workloads and motivate team performance.
• Utilize Gallagher's technology to enhance team efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with clients, carriers and brokers professionally and proactively.
• Balance multiple priorities and coach team members for development.

You will do significant work in partnership with our Workers Compensation clients. Take responsibility to make better decisions, earlier in the life of every claim. Identify and deliver the right resources, at the right time and in the right place. Think critically, solve problems, plan and prioritize activities. Serve clients, effectively communicate and embrace new challenges to drive success.

• Supervise a small Workers Compensation team.

About You

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience required
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
• Knowledge of all team member related functions
