Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Extensive hands-on software engineering experience with modern development technologies.
Proven experience leading software teams in a complex enterprise environment.
Ability to act as a senior technical escalation point and guide teams through challenges.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and API design.
Experience with architecture reviews, code quality, and production readiness.
Leadership in large-scale application modernization and debt reduction.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and security practices.
Experience implementing AI/GenAI capabilities in enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of Claims software applications and engineering initiatives.
Provide technical direction across architecture, design, integrations, and production support.
Serve as the senior escalation point for engineering teams and unblock issues.
Lead Azure cloud-based solutions, including migration, governance, and cost management.
Collaborate with business and IT leaders to translate requirements into scalable tech solutions.
Ensure cross-functional alignment with Enterprise Architecture and other teams.
Establish engineering standards, code quality practices, testing, and observability.
Guide teams through production incidents with root-cause analysis and remediation.
Forecast capacity and manage resources across initiatives and priorities.
Define and report engineering and delivery metrics.
Mentor managers, team leads, and engineers for career growth.
