Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in any field.
  • 3–7 years of claims experience in construction insurance preferred.
  • Basic understanding of primary casualty insurance concepts, policy language, and regulatory requirements.
  • Must complete required insurance licensing within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and process new and existing primary construction claims.
  • 2 Conduct investigations to determine coverage, liability, and damages and gather documentation.
  • Communicate with insureds, brokers, legal counsel, and vendors to obtain information and negotiate settlements.
  • Maintain accurate claim files and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed reports and correspondence for management review.
  • Identify potential fraudulent claims or red flags and escalate as appropriate.
  • Attend mediations and settlement conferences to negotiate costs and may attend trials.
  • Contribute to claims process improvement and compliance monitoring; ensure timely, professional responses to inquiries.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is$150,000 - $160,000.
