Job summary

Sentry Insurance offers a Claims internship designed to give you hands-on experience under a mentor and with leadership across the company. You’ll learn what claims are and how they’re handled, while networking at diverse social events and meeting executives.

You’ll take on meaningful tasks in negotiations, policy verification, and loss documentation, gaining real-world skills and building your early insurance career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, and English or a related field
• Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00
• Expected graduation of May 2029
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Obtain required licensing as needed
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on insight into claims negotiations and settlement processes to help reach fair resolutions for customers.
• Stand by customers during stressful times, guiding them through the claims process with genuine care and understanding.
• Review policy details to accurately verify coverage and policy limits for current customers.
• Dive into the details of a loss by gathering facts and reviewing documentation to understand what happened.
• Maintain clear, thorough records of all investigations, communications, and steps taken throughout the claims process
