Job summary

Sentry Insurance offers a Claims internship that provides hands-on experience with a mentor, helping you learn what claims are and how they impact the company’s success. You will also network at leadership events and gain exposure across multiple areas.

You’ll gain practical skills in negotiating claims, supporting customers, verifying coverage, and documenting investigations, all within a hybrid work structure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or associate degree in Business, Insurance, Communication, and English or a related field.
• Obtain minimum in-major GPA of 3.00.
• Expected graduation by May 2028.
• Obtain required licensing as needed.
• Sentry does not hire for F-1, J-1, H-1 visas for practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on insight into claims negotiations and settlement processes.
• Stand by customers during stressful times, guiding them through the claims process.
• Review policy details to verify coverage and policy limits.
• Dive into loss details by gathering facts and reviewing documentation.
• Maintain clear records of investigations, communications, and steps taken.
