Job summary

EMC Insurance offers a summer paid internship in one of its branch claims departments. You will assist the claims team in investigating, negotiating and disposing of minor multi-line claims, while learning EMC culture, business processes and products.

This internship provides a foundation in the insurance claims process and helps you build communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Business major with strong academic performance.
  • Interest in property casualty insurance career and good GPA.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills and PC literacy.

Essential Functions:

Summer paid internship working in one of EMC’s branch claims departments. Assists the claims team in the investigation, negotiation and disposition of minor multi-line claims. Learns EMC culture, business processes and products. Gains an understanding of the insurance claims process.

Education & Experience:
  • Business major
  • Completion of junior year preferred
  • Interest in property casualty insurance career
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
